Village Hall

MOGGERHANGER VILLAGE HALL

Moggerhanger Village Hall has its own website at moggerhanger.uk/villagehall

Moggerhanger can pride itself on having one of the most thriving village halls in the area. Its aim is to provide the community with facilities ‘second to none’. The management trustees have been fortunate over the past few years to receive several grants, enabling substantial improvements to be made. Their first major grant helped to provided full disabled facilities and a better, larger foyer and kitchen. A more recent grant provided a heat pump system that gave far more controllable and efficient heating. This also proved cheaper to run. The hall’s most recent grant has allowed further improvements to its main room, its lighting and better, safer electrical facilities. The kitchen has also been equipped with new cookers and wine chillers. The premises have been having problems with ground movement to the drainage system. An upgrade to this and other parts of the building was badly needed. The latest grant has enabled all this to be put right at the same time as providing highly decorative block paving around the building and safety rails near both entrances.

The good work continues. For a full description of The Village Hall, its history and future plans see:-

VILLAGE  HALL GETS HEARING LOOP

Hearing logoYou’ll be pleased to note that the village hall hearing loop is now up and Hearing logorunning.  It had its first official airing (hearing!) at the quiz night on 22nd September. This must be one of the first halls in the area to have such equipment and from all the reports its performance and the sound system in general have proved excellent and second to none.
