Disney Christmas Party - December 15
Saturday, December 15, saw approximately 70 people enjoying a Disney themed Christmas party. There was Snow White and Seven Dwarfs, some big eared mice with red trousers and yellow shoes, in fact all manner of Disney characters. There was a Disney Parade for the judges to choose the top three costumes. This proved a difficult decision as so many folk had put heart and soul into some great costumes. After much deliberation decisions were made, and the winners were, the Genie, Princess Fiona and Pocahontas. A big thank-you to everyone who turned out on the day to setup and clear away and also to everyone who came to support the event and help raise money for the village hall. We raised the sum of £735 and this money will be put towards clearing the loan taken earlier this year to fix the collapsed drains.
100+ Club Draw
The last draw for 2012, took place at the St John’s Church coffee morning, Tuesday December 4. Our winners this month were Mr S Attridge, Mrs D Hall, Mr T Lister, Mr M Wyatt, Mr C Rawlins. There are 5 monthly prizes for £20, £15, £10, £10, £5. Our first draw for 2013 will be held on Tuesday, February 5, at the Church coffee morning. At this event we will draw for both January and February.
This has proved to be a popular private lottery and we are now open for membership for 2013. If you would like to join our lottery please complete the form enclosed in your Village Magazine. If you live outside the village or do not take the Village Magazine, then contact Carolyn, on 01767 640727, for an application form and more information.
For people renewing for 2013 we will be collecting in January, although we would appreciate you sending your donations to the village hall treasurer, Carolyn Lister, 7 Blunham Road, Moggerhanger. This saves us roaming the streets in the bitter cold in the New Year.

A very big thank-you to everyone for turning out on such a wet and windy evening, also to everyone who prepared food, setup, cleared up, and provided entertainment for this event. This event was not run as a fund raising activity but despite that we still raised an amazing £482.27.
